Best Advent Ever is a free email program that will help you slow down and focus on what matters most during this busy season. You'll experience Advent in a whole new way — leading to the best Christmas of your life!
All persons over the age of 7 attending Mass or celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation are asked to wear a face mask.
Please wash your hands before leaving home and sanitize your hands upon entering the church. Bottles of sanitizer are available at the entrances to the church.
The church remains at 50% of the maximum capacity, approximately 240 persons for Saturdays and Sundays in the main church and 15 persons for weekdays in the chapel.
Please maintain 6 foot social distancing between persons (not of your own family or household) at all times. Every other pew in the church is closed off and persons not of the same household are reminded to sit six feet away from each other.
You are asked to receive communion in the hand. Please, hold out your hands flat and still. The minister will place the Eucharist in your hands without touching you, Please do not lower your mask until after you step away from the communion minister. You may choose to say "Amen" silently.
If you wish to receive communion on the tongue please present yourself for communion after all others have received in the hand.
"Beginning the Church's liturgical year, Advent (from "ad-venio" in Latin meaning "to come to") is the season leading up to the celebration of Christmas. The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and also to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas.
Advent devotions remind us of the meaning of the season. Special Advent devotions include the lighting of the Advent wreath; the Advent calendar which helps remind us of the season with daily thoughts and activities; Advent prayers that prepare us spiritually for the birth of Jesus Christ."
