A modern adaptation of an ancient Catholic prayer allows people to prepare spiritually for the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States, Roe v. Wade. The nine day prayer, titled
"9 Days for Life," is organized by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day falls on the second to last day of the novena, on Jan. 28. On that Saturday, Catholics from around the state will gather at the state Capitol for prayer and many will participate in the Texas Rally for Life. The TCCB is a member of the host committee and Bishop Joe Vasquez will offer prayer at the rally.
