The monthly Men’s Club Breakfast is this Sunday, October 28th, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. The Men invite everyone to come over to the Parish Hall and eat a delicious breakfast. The proceeds are used for the needs of the parish.
The annual diocesan Catholic Services Appeal will be conducted next weekend in our parish. Please prayerfully consider what you can pledge to support the educational, spiritual and outreach services offered by our diocese which serve people in ways that we as an individual parish could never do. Our parish goal is 100% participation and with your gift we can reach it. You should have received a letter and pledge card from Bishop Joe Vasquez. If you have not mailed in the card, please bring it with you next Sunday when you come to Mass and place it in the collection.
Holy Cross Cemetery is having an Open House at the Cemetery this Sunday, October 28 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Speakers will be there to tell you of the cemetery’s history and you will be able to receive help in locating the grave sites of relatives buried at Holy Cross. Everyone is invited to attend.
All Saints Day, a Holy Day of Obligation is on Thursday, November 1st. Vigil Mass will be at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening and the Holy Day Masses will be at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m.
All Souls Day Mass request envelopes are at each entrance of the church. Please return the Mass request envelopes to the church office before October 29th.
Altar Server Training for all current Altar Servers and those that are interested in becoming altar servers will be next Saturday, November 3 at 10 a.m. in the church. We need altar servers at each Mass. Please consider being a servicer if you have received you First Holy Communion.
Early voting began last Monday and Election Day is November 6, 2012. In order to be responsible voters; each Catholic needs to be informed of the issues and responsibilities of voting with a well-formed conscience. We have enclosed a flyer from the United States Council of Catholic Bishops in this week’s bulletin for each of you to carefully and prayerfully read. Please vote!
