St. Mary’s is in desperate need of altar servers. Parents, please talk to your children about being an altar server. If your child/children have received First Holy Communion, they are eligible. It is an honor and privilege to serve our Lord and Church through this ministry. Contact the church office for more information.
Next weekend throughout the diocese, we will be reflecting on the theme “Called to Serve” in response to Jesus’s challenge in the Gospel. “For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for Many.” (Mk 10: 45) Bishop Vásquez has asked the deacons of the diocese to share their own personal call to serve in ministry to the People of God as they reflect on this theme. Starting this coming December, the Diaconal Formation Office will begin accepting applications for the class of 2028, which will commence formation in January 2023. Men between the ages of 30 and 59 sensing God’s call to the permanent diaconate and their wives are invited to attend one of a series of upcoming inquiry sessions in locations around the diocese. Dates and locations are in the bulletin.
