Second Sunday of Advent
Religious Education for Children including RCIY, Confirmation classes, and Religious Education for Adults will meet this weekend.
The Parish Council meets at noon on Sunday in the Conference Room.
On Monday, December 5 there will be a drawing for the 75th Anniversary commemorative book, Treasures of the Diocese of Austin. I’m sure you will find it to be a beautiful reflection of our diocese and its history. All families of the church have been entered into this drawing. Forty families will be selected to receive this book valued at $40. There will be an insert in next week’s bulletin sharing with you the families that will receive a book because of the drawing. Also, we will begin selling the limited supply of the 75th Anniversary commemorative book for $40 each on Saturday, December 10 in front of the church. Supplies are limited so purchase yours as soon as possible. Credit cards will be accepted.
The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. -- The Immaculate Conception Vigil Mass will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7 and the Immaculate Conception Masses will be at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, December 8.
The monthly Pot-Luck Supper will be on Thursday, December 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Bring a dish to share.
2023 calendars are at all church entrances: one per family, please.
Please remember to bring donations of baby diapers and formula again next weekend as we continue our essential initiative for Respect Life and Walking with Moms in Need. Items will be shared between the Gabriel Project and CareNet. There will not be a Second Sunday Pro-Life Gathering next weekend.
Poinsettia envelopes are at all church entrances. Please return them by the weekend of December 18.
Please note that the Angel Tree is in the narthex. Select an ornament, purchase a gift, and return the unwrapped gift with the ornament attached to the Church or the Church office by the weekend of December 18.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 4-5 during Advent.
Marriage Recognition Certificates signed by the Bishop are available for couples celebrating wedding anniversaries in 2022. We offer certificates for married couples 10, 15, 20 years, and over. Please get in touch with the church office if you have not already done so.
You are invited to It’s All About a Baby on Saturday, December 10 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at St. Jerome’s. Each family will receive a package of diapers and wipes for each diaper-wearing child in the family until supplies run out.
Donations to next week’s Retirement Fund for Religious collection help hundreds of US religious communities to provide for their aging members. Please give generously.
Registration is open for high school students for the Austin Diocese Catholic Youth Conference at the Waco Convention Center from February 3-5. Please get in touch with the church office.
