The Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Second Sunday Pro-Life Rosary will be immediately after the 10:30 Mass.
Ash Wednesday Masses will be at 12:10 and 6 p.m. There will be a Special Collection for World and Home Missions during Ash Wednesday Masses. The Catholic Church in the U.S. has a strong history of supporting worthy causes in our own parish communities and beyond. This collection, taken up on Ash Wednesday, benefits areas in the church that are in greatest need. In many places, beyond our borders, the church is poor, communities are scattered, and priests are few. This special collection helps Catholic communities by underwriting evangelization, religious education, education for future priests, and training lay ministers. Thank you for your support.
During Lent, there will be two Masses on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:10 and 5:15. A fish fry will occur on each Friday during Lent except Good Friday. The Fish Fry costs $12 and $1 for dessert. The Fish Fry is at the KC Hall at Richland and Sanger. There will be Stations of the Cross each Friday at 7 p.m. except for Good Friday.
40 Days for Life begins February 14 through March 23 at Planned Parenthood on West Highway 6. There are one-hour prayer shifts, 6 days a week between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sign up at 40 Days for Life.
Baptismal Preparation Class for parents and godparents will be at 6:30 in the Conference Room on Thursday, February 15. Please contact the church office to register for this class.
The Fatima Rosary will be at noon at the Grotto on Saturday, February 17. The Fifth Encounter Rosary will be at 10 at the Grotto on Sunday, February 18.
The 12th Annual Catholic Men’s Conference will be held February 17 from 8 to 4 at San Jose Parish in Austin. This year’s theme is “Spiritual Fatherood.” Matthew Leonard and Devin Schadt will be the featured presenters. The day will include Mas, the rosary, confession, and fellowship. Tickets are available at Centex Catholic.
Next week our parish will take up the Catholic Relief Services Collection. Funds from this collection provide food to the hungry, support displaced refugees, and bring Christ’s love and mercy to vulnerable people here and abroad. Next week, please give generously to the collection and reveal Christ’s love to those most in need.
We are so glad you attended Mass with us. We hope to see you again next week to celebrate with our faith community and Eucharistic celebration; bring a friend with you.
