This weekend is Catholic Charities Weekend. Catholic Charities of Central Texas works on behalf of Bishop Vásquez as the social service arm of our diocese. Catholic Charities strives to eliminate poverty in our communities through six innovative programs: Counseling Services, Disaster Response, Financial Stability, Immigration Legal Services, St. Gabriel’s Pregnancy and Parenting Program, and St. Michael’s Veteran Services. Over the past two years, we have all experienced significant challenges, including the pandemic and winter storm. Throughout these unprecedented events, Catholic Charities has continued to serve all people seeking help with parenting, immigration, mental health, and housing instability. Catholic Charities serves anyone in need, regardless of faith background. Whether you are looking to serve, donate, or receive assistance, you are welcome at Catholic Charities. Please keep the clients, staff, volunteers, and supporters of Catholic Charities in your prayers. There is no collection this weekend for Catholic Charities; however, you can contribute to Catholic Charities Disaster Relief through the parish website.
