This year, the season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2015) and continues until the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday (April 2, 2015) when the Paschal Triduum begins.

This year Ash Wednesday is on March 5. It marks the beginning of Lent, a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ's Resurrection on Easter Sunday, through which we attain redemption.
